It was again one of those magical nights where Fairuz had appeared on stage to calm her passionate fans with a few more concerts. But what was striking for the iconic woman that barely moves on the stage, was the scenography.
For once, i had noticed a scenography that was minimalistic but very conceptual and up for the event's importance.
The concept of the design focused on only one element. Fairuz.. nothing else matched the focal point that was created by the simplest of elements, from the lighting equipment in the ceiling, to the musical band and the choir, to the entrance of the stage, all reached one focal point.
And it might not have been by mistake as well, that the iconic singer had light color dresses TWICE vs. the black choir / musical band which were quite distant as if the designer stated.
It's Fairuz vs. a whole bunch of artist in a band and a choir, as if nothing really matched the grandiose presence of the icon.
Bottom line, a great concert, a good scenography, and some good quality moments spoiled by a typical lebanese attitude of being late and misorganized to break thru our magical moments by letting people in during the concert for long periods of time.
