It is not a secret that the City of Beirut has lately witnessed an uprise in architectural quality, mainly due to some international architects launching their design specially within the BCD - Solidere Area.
One of the prominent sites that is a witness of this fact might be the Saifi Village / Beirut Gates sector that has been witnissing some of the best Beirut has known architecturally, with names such as london based Allies + Morrison, Arquitectonica, Gholam & others.
The latest after Plus properties venture with Arquitectonica, comes Beb Beirut, with the same international consultants.
Admitting the above surely does not justify the planning concept of killing the martyrs' square by adding volumes on the main axis of the city that once was a vibrant magnet. But nevertheless, that's not the point of the article, but more the architecture that looks much more contextual to the Beiruti spirit this time, rather than their previous trials.
